The transmission was installed on:
- Ford Galaxy 1 (V191) in 1995 – 2006;
- Ford Transit 6 (V184) in 2000 – 2006; Transit 7 (V347) in 2006 – 2011;

- Volkswagen Sharan 1 (7M) in 1995 – 2000.
Disadvantages of the Ford VXT75 gearbox
- This is a fairly reliable transmission, and its only weak point is the gearshift;
- Over time, dirt gets in through the oil seal, and the mechanism starts to jam;
- The gearshift mechanism bolt can also come loose and fall directly into the transmission;
- After 100,000 km, the input shaft bearing often starts to loosen;
- Synchronizers also don’t last forever, and at high mileage, the manual transmission usually makes a loud crunching noise.
