The Ford 6R100 6-speed automatic transmission has been assembled at the US plant since 2016 and is installed in models from the extensive Super Duty family, including the F250, F350, F450. This automatic transmission is a reinforced version of the 6R80 transmission, designed for use with 6.2-liter Boss engines.

Disadvantages of the Ford 6R100 gearbox
- The transmission is reliable, but only if you don’t abuse the engine chip;
- With aggressive chipping, the torque converter clutch wears out very quickly;
- Then the wear debris clogs the valve body and reduces the life of the oil pump;
- Weak points of the automatic transmission also include short-lived bushings and the input shaft drum.
