Disadvantages of the Ford 10R60 gearbox

  • This transmission has been plagued by numerous problems since its first years of production;
  • Owners constantly complain of hard shifting, jerking, and delays;
  • Dealers first changed the firmware, oil, and then the valve body and even the entire automatic transmission;
  • When paired with the 3.0 EcoBoost turbo engine, the automatic can fail after 10,000 km;
  • There are issues with the CIDAS solenoid mount.
