Disadvantages of the Ford 10R60 gearbox
- This transmission has been plagued by numerous problems since its first years of production;
- Owners constantly complain of hard shifting, jerking, and delays;
- Dealers first changed the firmware, oil, and then the valve body and even the entire automatic transmission;
- When paired with the 3.0 EcoBoost turbo engine, the automatic can fail after 10,000 km;
- There are issues with the CIDAS solenoid mount.
