The 8-speed Aisin TR-82SD automatic transmission was produced by the Japanese concern from 2010 to 2017 and was installed on the Porsche Cayenne, VW Touareg and Audi Q7 in combination with 4.8 Turbo and 4.2 TDi engines. It was on the basis of this gearbox that a special transmission was created for hybrid models.

- Audi Q7 1 (4L) in 2010 – 2015;
- Porsche Cayenne 2 (92A) in 2010 – 2017;
- Volkswagen Touareg 2 (7P) in 2010 – 2015.
Disadvantages of the TR-82SD gearbox
- This is a very reliable automatic transmission, but it is installed with powerful turbo engines and diesel engines;
- Because of this, the torque converter locking clutch quickly wears out and contaminates the valve body;
- Then strong vibrations appear that break the oil pump bushing;
- If you do not change the lubricant every 30,000 km, then you will have to rebuild the gearbox at 100,000 km;
- It is also important to keep the cooling system clean; this gearbox does not tolerate overheating.
