Disadvantages of the AW30-43LE gearbox

  • This is a very reliable gearbox and breakdowns only occur at high mileage;
  • Problems here manifest themselves with wear of the torque converter lock-up clutch;
  • Vibrations break the oil pump bushing, and the solenoids become clogged with dirty lubricant;
  • For the electrical part, the speed sensors, selector position sensors and automatic transmission ECU are changed;
  • And the control cable often breaks, replacing which is very labor-intensive.
