The Aisin AW30-43LE 4-speed automatic transmission has been produced by the company since 1985 and is installed in rear-wheel drive Toyota models under the A343E designation and all-wheel drive models under the A343F designation. This automatic transmission has also been installed in Hyundai, Volvo, and Isuzu vehicles, as well as in Mitsubishi (as V4AW3) and Jeep (as AW4).

Disadvantages of the Aisin AW30-43LE gearbox
- This is a very reliable automatic transmission, and breakdowns only occur at high mileage;
- Problems here arise with wear of the torque converter lockup clutch;
- Vibrations damage the oil pump bushing, and the solenoids become clogged with dirty grease;
- Electrically, the RPM sensors, selector position sensors, and the automatic transmission ECU are replaced;
- The control cable also often breaks, which is very labor-intensive to replace.
