Disadvantages of the AW30-43LE gearbox
- This is a very reliable gearbox and breakdowns only occur at high mileage;
- Problems here manifest themselves with wear of the torque converter lock-up clutch;
- Vibrations break the oil pump bushing, and the solenoids become clogged with dirty lubricant;
- For the electrical part, the speed sensors, selector position sensors and automatic transmission ECU are changed;
- And the control cable often breaks, replacing which is very labor-intensive.
