Disadvantages of the Aisin TF-71SC gearbox
- Compared to its predecessor TF-70SC, the main weak points have been eliminated.
- It is important not to allow the gearbox to overheat, carefully monitor the cooling system.
- At a mileage of more than 100,000 km, it is highly advisable to update the tiny heat exchanger.
- The remaining problems with the gearbox are associated with the valve body and are caused by rare oil changes.
- After 200,000 km, severe wear of the Teflon rings on the drums is often encountered.
