Disadvantages of the Aisin TF-72SC gearbox
- This is an updated version of the TF-70 series automatic transmissions and all the weak points have been fixed.
- The main thing is to monitor the cooling system, since this gearbox does not tolerate overheating.
- After 100,000 km, we recommend replacing the tiny heat exchanger with an external radiator.
- Other problems here are associated with contamination of the hydraulic unit due to rare oil changes.
- At runs over 200 thousand km, wear of the Teflon rings on the drums occurs.
