Disadvantages of the Opel F12 gearbox
- This manual transmission is installed with low-power engines, so it operates without any particular hassle;
- The only common problem is wear of the gearshift mechanism;
- At around 50,000 to 70,000 km, significant play in the gearshift mechanism may appear;
- Next, difficulty engaging first or reverse gear usually occurs;
- Also, in overly active owners, the bearings may start humming even at 150,000 km.
