The Opel F10 4/5-speed manual transmission was produced by the concern from 1981 to 1994 and was installed in such mass-market models as the Ascona, Kadett, Corsa, Astra, and Vectra. This transmission was simply a modification of the F13 transmission for less powerful engines.

Disadvantages of the Opel F10 gearbox
- This transmission is only installed with low-power engines and is not as problematic as the F13;
- However, it is not particularly durable, often requiring an overhaul before 100,000 km;
- The most common complaint is a crunching sound when shifting due to worn synchronizers;
- Next comes difficulty shifting due to wear of the gear selection mechanism;
- Weak points of the manual transmission also include the secondary shaft bearings and differential.
