Disadvantages of the Toyota AC60F gearbox

  • This is a strong automatic transmission, but it is installed with powerful diesel engines and V6 gasoline engines.
  • For an active owner, the gearbox oil will quickly become contaminated with wear products.
  • Therefore, renew the lubricant more often or the solenoids in the valve body will not last long.
  • In the most advanced cases, dirt in the oil will simply corrode the channels of the valve body plate.
  • Servicemen also note the weak Forward drum and not the most durable bushings.
