The Audi ML311 6-speed manual transmission was produced at Getrag plants from 2007 to 2017 and was installed in many longitudinally mounted models, such as the A4, A5, A6, and Q5. The manual transmission was available in the 0B1 version for front-wheel drive vehicles and the 0B2 version for all-wheel drive Quattro models.

Disadvantages of the VW ML311 gearbox
- Early production transmissions were recalled due to noise during gear shifting;
- This is a very reliable transmission, but its service life is highly dependent on operating conditions;
- With vigorous driving, the first- and second-gear synchronizers wear out quickly;
- Frequent towing significantly reduces the service life of the shaft bearings;
- It’s also worth noting the high cost of the clutch and dual-mass flywheel.
