Disadvantages of the Aisin TM-60LS gearbox
- This automatic transmission is installed with powerful V6 engines and its service life depends on the operating mode.
- With frequent and abrupt starts, the hydraulic unit gets clogged with wear products of the torque converter clutch.
- And if you ignore the wear of the torque converter clutch, the vibrations will destroy the planetary rows.
- With long slippage, the bushing can overheat and even weld to the torque converter hub.
- Another weak point is the main thrust bearing, which breaks its stopper.
- The problem with the wear of the rear cover, known from the predecessor, is also relevant here.
