The Chrysler 32RH or A999 3-speed automatic transmission was produced from 1986 to 2003 and was installed on the Dakota with a 3.9-liter Magnum engine or the Wrangler with a 4.0-liter AMC 242. Less powerful modifications of this transmission existed: the 30RH (A904), as well as the 31RH (A998).

Disadvantages of the Chrysler 32RH gearbox
- This is a very reliable and durable automatic transmission for heavy-duty use;
- It’s important to keep an eye on the gearbox’s lubricant level, as leaks are common;
- A key feature is that the oil does not circulate in neutral;
