The transmission was installed on:
- Chrysler 200 1 (JS) in 2010 – 2014;
- Chrysler Sebring 3 (JS) in 2006 – 2010;
- Dodge Avenger 1 (JS) in 2007 – 2014;

Disadvantages of the Chrysler 40TES gearbox
- This is the most advanced transmission in the A604 family and is the least problematic;
- The main concerns here are electrical: wiring, contacts, and RPM sensors;
- The torque converter clutch needs to be replaced every 90,000 km, otherwise it will damage the oil pump bushing;
- The solenoid block also needs to be cleaned regularly, fortunately it’s very conveniently located;
- Also, prolonged slippage can easily damage the planetary gear or differential.
