- Dodge Ram 2 (DR) in 1997 – 2002;

Disadvantages of the Chrysler 46RE gearbox
- This is a reliable and durable automatic transmission, but problems do occur at high mileage;
- The torque converter clutch needs to be replaced every 150,000 km, otherwise the solenoids will become clogged with dirt;
- Due to reduced lubrication pressure, the clutches in the Direct and Forward clutch packs burn out;
- After 250,000 km, the brake band and reverse drum usually need to be replaced;
- Weak points also include the centrifugal regulator and unreliable wiring.
