Disadvantages of the Fiat C635 gearbox

  • The main problem with this manual transmission is difficulty engaging first and second gears;
  • Forums describe numerous options for selecting the type and amount of lubricant in the manual transmission;
  • However, in most cases, this problem goes away after replacing the synchronizers;
  • After 100,000 km, the bearings often start to howl when driving in high gear;
  • Lubricant leaks from under the plastic breather cap are also quite common.
