Gearbox Jatco JF405E

The Jatco JF405E 4-speed automatic transmission has been produced since 2000 and is installed in compact cars from many manufacturers, including Nissan, Daewoo, Hyundai, Kia, Suzuki, and Opel. This transmission is designed for engines up to 1.3 liters in displacement and produces 120 Nm of torque.

Disadvantages of the Jatco JF405E gearbox

  • The most common complaint is jolting due to solenoids becoming contaminated with wear products;
  • Standard repair involves cleaning the valve body and replacing all gaskets;
  • By 100,000 km, leaks from the oil pump seals usually begin;
  • By 200,000 km, the Teflon rings crack the rear cover of the transmission.
