Disadvantages of the Jatco JF405E gearbox
- The most common complaint is jolting due to solenoids becoming contaminated with wear products;
- Standard repair involves cleaning the valve body and replacing all gaskets;
- By 100,000 km, leaks from the oil pump seals usually begin;
- By 200,000 km, the Teflon rings crack the rear cover of the transmission.
