Disadvantages of the Opel F15 gearbox
- The reliability of this transmission depends heavily on the size of the car and the power of its engine;
- On compact models like the Corsa and Tigra, this transmission works without any problems;
- However, Astra and Vectra owners may hear bearing noise as early as 50,000 km;
- Don’t delay replacing bearings, or they will fall apart and damage shafts and gears;
- Also, forums regularly complain about leaks and the limited lifespan of synchronizers.
