The F25 5-speed manual transmission was produced by the Getrag concern from 1993 to 2000 and was installed in Opel Vectra and Calibra models with the 2.5-liter C25XE or X25XE engine. This transmission was also installed in the second-generation Saab 900 with the similar B258i engine.

Disadvantages of the Opel F25 gearbox
- The shift lever may stick due to wear on the plastic sleeve and the shift linkage bushing;
- The gear selector mechanism also becomes loose quite quickly in this manual transmission;
- At high mileage, the bearings often hum, especially on the input shaft;
- Many owners add more than 2 liters of oil to the transmission, and the noise stops.
