The Opel F35 5-speed manual transmission was produced by the company from 1998 to 2005 and was installed in models such as the Astra G, Vectra C, Zafira A, Signum A, and the Sintra minivan. The transmission is a variant of the FM55/FM57, which has been used in Saab since 1984.

The transmission was installed on:

Disadvantages of the Opel F35 gearbox
- This is a very reliable manual transmission, but it does have a known weak point;
- The main problem here is wear of the synchronizers, especially 4th and 5th gears;
- And if you neglect to replace the synchronizers, the 5th gear will fail;
- In this case, install a suitable gear from the FM57 manual transmission; it is more durable;
- The remaining complaints are related to oil leaks and wear of the gearshift mechanism.
