Disadvantages of the Toyota AB60F gearbox
- This is a very strong automatic transmission, but it is only available with very powerful V8 engines.
- During active use, the lubricant quickly becomes contaminated with wear products.
- The oil needs to be updated regularly or the solenoids in the valve body will not last long.
- In the most advanced cases, dirt simply corrodes the channels of the valve body plate.
- The disadvantages of the automatic transmission design include a weak Forward drum and short-lived bushings.
