Disadvantages of the Toyota A760E gearbox
- This is a completely reliable automatic transmission, but only in combination with V6 power units.
- With V8 engines, its service life depends quite strongly on the operating mode.
- For active owners, the GTF clutch wears out very quickly, contaminating the lubricant.
- And then dirty oil damages the solenoids and corrodes the valve body channels.
- Also, from a long drive with a worn torque converter clutch, the oil pump bushing breaks.
