The transmission was installed on:
- Opel Omega A (V87) in 1986 – 1994;

Disadvantages of the Opel R25 gearbox
- This is a reliable and durable manual transmission, but problems appear at high mileage;
- The most common complaint is about the loose lever, which breaks the bushings and plastic ring;
- Oil leaks directly through the gearshift seals are also quite common;
- Around 200,000 km, the input shaft bearing starts to hum and requires replacement;
- And active owners have relatively short-lived first-gear synchronizers.
