Using
The transmission was installed on:
- Audi A4 B8 (8K) in 2007 – 2015;

- Audi A5 1 (8T) in 2007 – 2016.
Disadvantages of the VW ML451 gearbox
- This is a fairly reliable manual transmission, but it was installed with particularly powerful engines;
- And with aggressive driving, the first gear synchronizers wear out quickly;
- Plus, overly active owners replace the clutch every 50,000-80,000 km;
- And by 150,000 km, the shaft bearings and dual-mass flywheel may require replacement;
- Also worth noting is a service bulletin regarding play in the left axle shaft bearing.
