The Aisin AW60-41SN 4-speed automatic transmission was produced at a plant in Japan from 1998 to 2010 and was installed in Suzuki Aerio sedans and station wagons paired with the 1.8-liter M18A engine. In Opel vehicles, this transmission is known under its own designation, the AF17.

- Opel Astra H (A04) in 2004 – 2010
- Opel Vectra B (J96) in 2000 – 2002

- Suzuki Aerio 1 (ER) in 2001 – 2007
Disadvantages of the Aisin AW60-41SN gearbox
- This is a fairly reliable automatic transmission, but its service life is highly dependent on operating conditions;
- A sedate owner who changes the oil regularly can expect the transmission to last 300,000 km;
- However, aggressive driving can quickly wear out the torque converter lockup clutch;
- This dirt then clogs the valve body, causing jerking and pulsating shifts;
- Furthermore, shaft vibrations can cause the oil pump bushing to break, leading to oil leaks;
- The planetary gear in this transmission is sensitive to significant drops in oil levels;
- Also, at high mileage, the input/output speed sensors and wiring are replaced.
