The 5-speed automatic Aisin AW95-50LS was produced at a plant in Japan from 2001 to 2004 and was installed only on the pre-restyling version of the fourth-generation Lexus ES300 sedan. On the Japanese analogue of Toyota Windom, this gearbox is known under its own index U150E.

- Lexus ES300 4 (XV30);
- Toyota (as U150E) Windom 3 (XV30).
Disadvantages of the AW95-50LS gearbox
- This is a fairly reliable automatic transmission, but its hydraulic unit is very sensitive to dirty oil.
- With rare lubrication renewal, the solenoids become clogged with wear products from the clutches.
- And even closer to 150,000 km, the Teflon ring breaks the groove in the rear cover of the automatic transmission.
- Then the lubrication pressure gradually decreases and the clutches in the packs begin to burn.
- Also, frequent sharp accelerations greatly reduce the resource of the planetary satellites.
