Using
The transmission was installed on:
- Ford EcoSport 2 (B515) in 2017 – 2022;
- Ford Fiesta 7 (B479) in 2017 – 2020;
- Ford Focus 3 (C346) in 2014 – 2018;
- Ford Focus 4 (C519) in 2018 – 2021.
Disadvantages of the Ford 6F15 gearbox
- Early-generation automatic transmissions suffered from delays when shifting in first gear;
- Most owners were helped by a reflash, but some also had to replace the valve body;
- The oil in this transmission also gets dirty very quickly, which also leads to jerking;
- To extend the life of the transmission, we recommend changing the lubricant every 30,000 km;
- The differential is also considered a weak point; it does not tolerate prolonged slippage.
