Disadvantages of the Jatco JF021E gearbox

  • So far, this transmission hasn’t been heavily criticized on forums, and no recalls have been announced;
  • The key to long-lasting performance of this transmission is regular oil changes;
  • Also, avoid sudden acceleration, prolonged wheel spin, and driving without warming up in winter;
  • This transmission is designed for the Japanese market, so service may be an issue.
