Disadvantages of the VW MQ500 gearbox
- This is a completely reliable manual transmission without any particular weak points in the design.
- A number of owners complained about noise and vibration when cold, they even carried out a recall.
- There were cases when the car did not start due to a break in the ground wire of the gearbox.
- The dual-mass flywheel has a modest resource; sometimes it knocks at 100,000 km.
