Disadvantages of the VW DQ400e gearbox

  • In the first years of production, the gearbox often fell into emergency mode due to various errors.
  • Firmware usually did not help and dealers replaced the mechatronics board under warranty.
  • At the moment, everything has returned to normal and there are much fewer complaints about this transmission.
  • The gearbox does not tolerate sudden starts, which greatly reduces the life of the differential.
  • Change the lubricant regularly or the solenoids will become clogged with clutch wear products.
