Using
The transmission was installed on:
- Audi Q7 1 (4L) in 2009 – 2015;
- Porsche Cayenne 2 (92A) in 2009 – 2017;
- Volkswagen Touareg 2 (7P) in 2010 – 2018.
Disadvantages of the VW AL1000 gearbox
- This is a very durable automatic transmission and breakdowns occur only with rare oil changes.
- When driving frequently in traffic jams, the lubricant in this transmission quickly ages and becomes dirty.
- Then the solenoids in the valve body become clogged and shocks appear when switching.
- The gearbox also doesn’t like overheating, so keep the cooling system clean.
