Disadvantages of the Opel F23 gearbox
- This is a reliable manual transmission, and the only complaint often made is difficulty shifting;
- The cause of the manual transmission lever sticking is wear on the plastic sleeve and the gearshift sleeve;
- A loose gear selector mechanism can also be the culprit;
- After 200,000 km, the input shaft bearings often start to hum;
- To eliminate transmission noise, add more than 2 liters of oil to the transmission.
