Disadvantages of the Opel M32 gearbox
- The main problem with this transmission is the low bearing life due to insufficient lubrication;
- In 2012, a rear cover with larger oil passages was introduced, increasing the service life;
- When combined with powerful engines, the synchronizers in the manual transmission wear out quickly;
- Complaints often arise about difficulty engaging first gear due to a loose gearshift;
- A disadvantage of this type of transmission is the very expensive dual-mass flywheel.
