The Toyota A132L 3-speed automatic transmission was assembled from 1988 to 1999 in Japan and was installed on a number of compact models of the concern with engines up to 1.5 liters. The transmission was intended for not very powerful engines with a torque of 120 Nm.

- Toyota Corolla 6 (E90) in 1987 – 1992;
- Toyota Starlet 4 (P80) in 1992 – 1995; Starlet 5 (P90) in 1996 – 1999;
- Toyota Tercel 3 (L30) in 1987 – 1990; Tercel 4 (L40) in 1990 – 1994; Tercel 5 (L50) in 1994 – 1999.
Disadvantages of the Toyota A132L gearbox
- This is a very reliable gearbox, breakdowns are rare and occur over long distances.
- Most often, worn clutches, bushings or brake bands are replaced.
- Rubber gaskets and seals that have become hardened over time can sometimes leak.
