Disadvantages of the Toyota A342E gearbox
- First of all, this is a very rare automatic transmission that was fitted only to the Century sedan;
- But it has no reliability problems and failures occur only at high mileage;
- With regular oil changes this gearbox runs more than 400,000 km without an overhaul;
- It is important to keep an eye on the cooling system, as this transmission does not tolerate overheating;
- And most importantly, avoid buying a gearbox from a tuning project, as it is often used for that.
