Disadvantages of the Toyota A443F gearbox
- First of all, this is a very rare automatic transmission and finding a donor unit is quite difficult;
- But the gearbox has no particular reliability problems and its service life is simply huge;
- Every 10–15 years of service it is advisable to replace the set of gaskets and oil seals;
- After all, most of the failed gearboxes suffered from low oil pressure;
- Under overly hard use the oil pump bushing may also be destroyed.
