Disadvantages of the Toyota U881 gearbox
- The main problems of the predecessor U880 have already been fixed and this is a reliable gearbox.
- The main thing is to monitor the condition of the cooling system, all problems here are caused by overheating.
- High temperature reduces the life of Teflon rings and oil pressure drops.
- And then, due to low oil pressure in the system, the clutches in the packages begin to burn out.
- Even during active driving, the valve body quickly becomes clogged with friction wear products.
