Disadvantages of the Toyota AA80F gearbox
- At first the automatic transmission suffered from jerky shifts and heavy vibrations;
- However, the manufacturer released a series of firmware updates and the problem is no longer relevant;
- In some cases raising the oil level with subsequent adaptation helped;
- The other problems of the gearbox are related to the valve body being clogged with wear debris;
- In the most neglected cases the oil pump bushing wears out and leaks appear.
