Gearbox ZF 8HP95

The 8-speed automatic transmission ZF 8HP95 has been produced by the German company since 2015 and is installed on particularly powerful BMW and Rolls-Royce models under its own index GA8HP95Z. The version of this automatic transmission for the Audi RS6, SQ7 and Bentley Bentayga has many differences and is known as 0D6.

2nd generation of the 8HP family: 8HP50, 8HP65, 8HP75, 8HP95.

Disadvantages of the ZF 8HP95 gearbox

  • This reliable and durable gearbox has to work with very powerful engines.
  • During aggressive driving, the solenoids will quickly become clogged with friction wear products.
  • Worn clutches cause vibrations and break the oil pump bearing.
  • Frequent acceleration can cause aluminum parts in the mechanical part of the automatic transmission to burst.
  • The weak point of all gearboxes in this series are rubber gaskets and bushings.
