The Jatco RE4F04B 4-speed automatic transmission was introduced in 1995 as a reinforced version of the RE4F04A transmission. It was installed in front- and all-wheel drive vehicles with engines up to 3.5 liters and 330 Nm of torque.

- Nissan Murano 1 (Z50) in 2002 – 2007;
- Nissan X-Trail 1 (T30) in 2000 – 2007.
Disadvantages of the Jatco RE4F04B gearbox
- Dust from worn torque converter lockup clutch gets into the oil;
- Dirty lubricant spreads throughout the system, clogging the solenoids of the automatic transmission’s valve body;
- Strong jolts or jerks, as well as vibrations in the transmission, appear;
- This usually causes the oil pump seals to break and lubricant leaks to begin;
- As a result of oil starvation, the planetary gear quickly wears out.
