Gearbox Jatco RE4F04B

The Jatco RE4F04B 4-speed automatic transmission was introduced in 1995 as a reinforced version of the RE4F04A transmission. It was installed in front- and all-wheel drive vehicles with engines up to 3.5 liters and 330 Nm of torque.

Disadvantages of the Jatco RE4F04B gearbox

  • Dust from worn torque converter lockup clutch gets into the oil;
  • Dirty lubricant spreads throughout the system, clogging the solenoids of the automatic transmission’s valve body;
  • Strong jolts or jerks, as well as vibrations in the transmission, appear;
  • This usually causes the oil pump seals to break and lubricant leaks to begin;
  • As a result of oil starvation, the planetary gear quickly wears out.
