The Toyota A750E 5-speed automatic transmission has been produced at the Japanese plant since 2002 and is installed on rear-wheel drive versions of pickups and SUVs such as the 4Runner, Hilux and FJ Cruiser. This gearbox is one of the versions of the widely known Aisin TB-50LS.

Disadvantages of the Toyota A750E gearbox
- This is a robust automatic transmission and problems appear only under very hard use;
- The torque converter lockup clutch wears out first, and this debris clogs the valve body;
- Jerking and vibrations then appear, and they shorten the life of the oil pump bushing;
- Oil leaks follow, and this gearbox is quite sensitive to the oil level;
- It is also important to keep the cooling system clean, as this gearbox does not tolerate overheating.
