Using
The transmission was installed on:
- Acura TL 2 (UA4) in 1998 – 2000;
- Honda Inspire 3 (UA4) in 1998 – 2001;
- Honda Saber 2 (UA4) in 1998 – 2001.
Disadvantages of the Honda B7VA gearbox
- This is a fairly reliable transmission, but it is installed with powerful V6 power units;
- With vigorous driving, the torque converter clutch wears out quickly, sometimes before 150,000 km;
- Then dirt clogs the oil passages, filters, and screens, causing jerking and jerking;
- Also, at mileage exceeding 150,000 km, wear of the shaft sealing rings is common;
- This causes the oil pressure in the system to drop and the clutch packs to burn out.
