Disadvantages of the Honda MCJA gearbox
- With regular oil and filter changes, this automatic transmission has a service life of over 300,000 km;
- Impurities in the oil quickly wear out the solenoids and valve body channels;
- It is also important to replace the torque converter clutch approximately every 200,000 km;
- Otherwise, its wear products will clog the oil channels and the lubrication pressure in the system will drop;
- Weak points of this automatic transmission include the selector position sensor and the overrunning clutch.
