Disadvantages of the Honda SLXA gearbox

  • With regular oil changes, this automatic transmission will last 300,000 km or more without any problems;
  • Dirty lubricant significantly reduces the lifespan of the solenoids and valve body channels;
  • Every 200,000 km, it is highly recommended to replace the torque converter clutch;
  • Otherwise, the transmission will become clogged with wear debris, requiring a replacement;
  • Weak points here also include the overrunning clutch and selector position sensor.
