The Honda B7WA 5-speed automatic transmission was produced at the Japanese plant from 2001 to 2003 and was installed only in the restyled version of the third-generation Inspire sedan and the similar Saber. The same transmission, but designated M7WA, was installed in the second-generation Acura TL starting in 2000.

- Honda Saber 2 (UA4) in 2001 – 2003.
Disadvantages of the Honda B7WA gearbox
- This is a fairly robust transmission, but it is installed with powerful V6 power units;
- Therefore, overly active owners wear out the torque converter clutch very quickly;
- Then, wear debris clogs the oil channels and filters, causing jerking and lurching;
- Also, by 150,000 km, severe wear of the shaft sealing rings is common;
- This causes the oil pressure in the automatic transmission to drop and the clutch packs to burn out.
