The Honda PN3A 5-speed automatic transmission was produced in Japan from 2009 to 2015 and was installed in all-wheel drive Honda Pilot, while the PN4A was installed in front-wheel drive models. During the first year of production, this model was equipped with the P34A and P35A transmissions.

The transmission was installed on:
- Honda Pilot 2 (YF4) in 2009 – 2015.
Disadvantages of the Honda PN3A gearbox
- This is a reliable automatic transmission, but only if you change the oil and filters every 60,000 km;
- Dirty lubricant accelerates wear on solenoids and valve body passages;
- Renew the torque converter clutch regularly, or its wear products will clog the oil passages;
- At high mileage, wear on the pressure regulator bushing is common;
- Weak points of this transmission include the overrunning clutch and third gear drum.
