- Acura TSX (CL) in 2003 – 2008;
- Honda Accord 7 (CL) in 2002 – 2008.
Disadvantages of the Honda MCTA gearbox
- This reliable transmission has a good service life only with regular lubricant changes;
- Dirty oil quickly wears out the solenoid valves and valve body channels;
- Frequent and abrupt starts quickly lead to the destruction of the third gear drum;
- Closer to 200,000 km, wear on the pressure regulator bushing is common;
- At about the same mileage, the bearings in the rear cover of the automatic transmission may begin to hum.
