The Honda MZHA 5-speed automatic transmission was assembled in Japan from 2006 to 2012 and installed on the all-wheel-drive version of the third CR-V, while the front-wheel-drive version received the MZJA transmission. The American version of the crossover received a similar BZHA or BZJA automatic transmission.

Using
The transmission was installed on:
- Honda CR-V 3 (RE) in 2006 – 2012.
Disadvantages of the Honda MZHA gearbox
- This is a very reliable and durable transmission, but only with regular oil changes;
- Dirty lubricant quickly wears out the solenoid valves and valve body channels;
- Those who like to make sharp starts often experience damage to the third gear drum;
- After 200,000 km, the pressure regulator bushing often wears out;
- Weak points of the automatic transmission include the overrunning clutch and bearings in the rear cover.
