- Honda Civic 8 (FD) in 2005 – 2011.
Disadvantages of the Honda SPCA gearbox
- The service life of this automatic transmission is highly dependent on the frequency of oil and filter changes;
- Dirty lubricant very quickly wears out the solenoid valves and valve body channels;
- Frequent and abrupt starts usually lead to the destruction of the third gear drum;
- By 200,000 km, wear on the pressure regulator bushing is common;
- Bearings in the rear cover and the overrunning clutch are also weak points.
