Gearbox Toyota A340E

The Toyota A340E 4-speed automatic transmission was produced from 1984 to 2018 in Japan. In addition to our own cars, this automatic transmission was installed on cars from other manufacturers such as AW30-40LE. The transmission has two modifications for all-wheel drive models with the index A340H and A340F.

This series includes: A140, A240, A340, A440, A540.

Disadvantages of the Toyota A340E gearbox

  • With regular oil changes, this transmission has a very long service life.
  • Dirty lubricant leads to bushing wear and loss of oil pressure in the system.
  • The clutches of the Forward package burn first, then 2nd Brake and then Low/Reverse.
